The City of Marion primarily collects, stores, discloses and uses personal information so we can deliver services to our community. As most personal information we use is collected from you directly, you will be aware of the primary purpose of the collection and any requirements for disclosure. If you do not provide the requested personal information to us, we may not be able to provide the services requested.

We may sometimes use or disclose personal information for a secondary purpose, that is, for use that is different from the primary purpose. The City of Marion will only do this, in good faith, in the following circumstances:

• If you have consented (expressedly or implied).
• Where the secondary purpose is directly related to the primary purpose, and you would reasonably expect us to do so.
• Where The City of Marion is permitted or required by law to disclose the information, or it is in the interest of personal or public safety.
